SEO Tools

The tools for page SEO are important for SEO because the settings can improve your ranking in google's search results. This is because defining the settings for each page enhances the ability of Google to crawl your site.

They include:

  • Page language – where u can set the language of the page only
  • Page title – a short description of a webpage and appears at the top of a browser window and in the search engine result pages. The best practice for the length of the page title is around 70 characters.
  • Page path – Is the URL of your page shown in the address bar, every page must have a unique path.
  • Page description – The description tag, also known as meta description is a short summary of the content of your page. This description appears when your page is presented in the search engine results and it helps the search engine to understand the content of your page and identify when to display it in the search results. The best practice is to keep the length of the description between 150-160 characters.
  • Keywords for your page - The meta keywords tag, similar to the page description helps the search engine determine what your page is about. When selecting the keywords, make sure each of them represents the content of your page.
  • Redirect 301 link - The 301- redirect link indicates that the page has been moved to a new location. This is useful when you have changed the link of your page and now you need to tell the search engine that the old link should lead to the new one.
  • Additional head scripts - The head scripts are basically code that is entered in the tag of the page and unlike the head scripts in the website settings (which are applied to the entire website) is applied to a specific page and can be different for each page. It can be used as a way to link external resources, add metadata, and use custom styles in your page.
